Terms & Conditions

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms govern your use of ReadPulse.cv. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

What the service is

ReadPulse.cv is a reader for PDF documents with an AI comprehension layer: you upload a document, highlight a passage, and receive an explanation, summary, example or answer generated by a third-party AI model. It also provides a dictionary, annotations, saved reading position, folders and export to Notion.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, give accurate information, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done under your account.

One account is for one person. Do not share credentials or resell access.

Your documents stay yours

You keep all rights in the documents, highlights and notes you upload or create. We claim no ownership of them.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your files, extract their text, send selected passages to the AI provider you choose, and show it all back to you. Nothing more. We do not use your documents to train AI models, and we do not sell them. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you are not permitted to copy or process.

What the AI can and cannot be relied on for

AI models generate text that is frequently useful and sometimes wrong. Answers can be incomplete, outdated, or confidently incorrect.

Do not rely on output from ReadPulse.cv for legal, medical, financial, academic or safety-critical decisions without verifying it against the source. The document you uploaded is the authority; our explanation of it is not. We provide no warranty that any answer is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload unlawful material, or material you have no right to upload
  • attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits or usage caps, or create multiple accounts to do so
  • automate, scrape or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product
  • attempt to gain access to other users' data, or to probe, disrupt or overload the infrastructure
  • use the AI features to generate unlawful, harassing or deceptive content

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Plans and limits

Each plan carries limits on AI actions per day, documents, folders and uploads. The current limits are shown on the pricing page. In summary: Free allows 5 AI actions per day and one document; Pro allows 100 AI actions per day, 50 uploads per calendar month and 20 folders; Ultra removes the count limits.

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. Monthly upload allowances reset on the 1st of each month; deleting a document frees allowance back within the same month. Individual uploads are limited to 50 MB.

On “unlimited”. Ultra has no cap on the number of AI actions, but it is subject to fair use: a daily ceiling on total model cost applies to protect the service from abuse. It sits far above any realistic individual use and exists to stop a single account running up unbounded cost, not to limit normal reading.

We may change plan limits. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment provider Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. Your contract for the payment is with them; prices are shown inclusive of any tax they are required to collect.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access, and the plan's features, until then.

Payments already made are not refunded for the unused part of a period, except where required by law or where we have clearly failed to deliver the service. If something has gone wrong, contact us — we would rather resolve it than stand on this clause.

We may change prices. Existing subscribers will be told before a change applies to their renewal, and can cancel instead.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and improving, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of a failure at one of the providers it depends on. We may change or discontinue features.

If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time, and ask us to delete your account and its contents — see Privacy.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your use creates a legal risk, or if required by law.

Our rights

The service itself — the software, design, branding and documentation — belongs to us. These terms give you permission to use it, not ownership of any part of it.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data beyond our control.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you by email if a change materially affects your rights. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
